About MeHi my name is Kate Tolstad and I graduated from North Dakota State University with a Bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Science in the spring of 2008.
I am currently in my 12th year of teaching. I taught two years in Hillsboro, ND and Thompson, ND (part-time at each school) and three years at Bottineau, ND. I am in my fourth year at Westhope High School. 2010 Outstanding New Career and Technical Education- Family and Consumer Science Teacher of the Year recipient. I live on our farm northwest of Westhope on a farm with my husband, Devin and our four beautiful children, Hunter (12), Avery (7), Harper (5) and Brynn (2) |

The following from class syllabuses:
- Attendance is expected for class
- Bring material to class everyday
- Student participation will be required in class discussion, oral presentations, labs and projects
- Assessment will follow each unit of study using variety of strategies
- Homework is due at the beginning of class
- Late homework Policy: turned in same day, 50% off, '0' after due date. It is your responsibility as a student.
- You must pickup your missed work as soon as you get back to school!! Homework is DUE the next time you have class.
- Need another copy? 25% off your grade, please keep track of your homework.
